Week 11

Offensive Player of the Week: Jonas Gray 37 carries 201 yards 4 TDs

For this to be such a passing league, as the weather is starting to turn a lot of running backs are starting to get more touches and they are definitely making the most of it. For the second consecutive week a running back has scored 4 times in a game, only this time it came from somebody much less expected. Jonas Gray consistently churned out chunks of yards as no run was longer than 20 yards, and he overshadowed what was a somewhat uneven performance by Tom Brady as the Patriots used the running game to physically overpower the Colts. Gray didn’t even have the most rushing yards in the week, that belongs to Le’Veon Bell, but Gray reaching the end zone 3 more times against a much better team is the reason he is the Player of the Week for week 11.

Honorable mention: Le’Veon Bell, Jamaal Charles, Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Marshall, Alfred Blue, Jeremy Hill, Aaron Rodgers

Defensive Player of the Week: Chris Borland 12 tackles 2 INT 3 pass deflections

In week 11 J.J. Watt had a sack, a fumble forced and recovered, and even caught a touchdown on offense, but none of those plays sealed the game like Chris Borland’s second interception. Borland had another 12 tackles and defended 3 other passes as he impressed against the pass and the run. He has played very well while the 49ers don’t have Patrick Willis and NaVarro Bowman. His future is extremely bright because he is just a rookie. J.J. Watt will probably win his second Defensive Player of the Year award, but the 49ers may have found the latest example of drafting well defensively.

Honorable mention: JJ Watt, Mike Adams, Joe Haden, Alec Ogletree, Rashad Johnson

Team Win of the Week: St. Louis Rams

The Rams have victories against the Seahawks, the 49ers, and now the Broncos. They remain competitive in the toughest division in football despite not having their quarterback for most of the last two years. They have talent at wide receiver and perhaps the best defensive line in football. If this team had a solid quarterback and a consistent running game they would be very good. But for now they will continue their inconsistent season gaining surprising wins before losing the next week.

Honorable mention: Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals
