Wednesday, December 31, 2014

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl @ Atlanta, GA 12:30pm ESPN: 9 Ole Miss Rebels vs. 6 TCU Hornfrogs: Analysts- Joe Tessitore, Brock Huard, Tim Tebow, Shannon Spake

The Peach Bowl features Ole Miss that has the nation top ranked scoring defense, but faltered at the end of the season by injuries before beating rival Mississippi State, while TCU was the co-Big 12 champion & was on the outside of the Top 4 spots, this game should be fun to watch, but I do believe Ole Miss will be get healthy & win this game in Atlanta.

Prediction: Ole Miss 38, TCU 27

Vizio Fiesta Bowl @ Glendale, AZ 4pm ESPN: 20 Boise State Broncos vs. 10 Arizona Wildcats: Analysts-  Sean McDonough, Chris Spielman, Todd McShay

The Wildcats last game they got destroyed by Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game, while Boise State won the Mountain West Championship, we know Boise State have history in the Fiesta Bowl, but the Wildcats are close to home & this should be a shootout in the desert.

Prediction: Arizona 45, Boise State 40

Capital One Orange Bowl @ Miami, FL 8pm ESPN: 12 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. 7 Mississippi State Bulldogs: Analysts- Brent Musburger, Jesse Palmer, Maria Taylor

Mississippi State had there best season ever even if it was short of being in the College Football Playoff, while Georgia Tech pushed Florida State to the limit in the ACC Championship, but the Bulldogs will have too much for the mostly running Yellow Jackets to handle.

Prediction: Mississippi State 36, Georgia Tech 17

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic @ Arlington, TX 12:30pm ESPN: 8 Michigan State Spartans vs. 5 Baylor Bears: Analysts- Dave Pasch, Brian Griese, Tom Luginbill

The Cotton Bowl to me have the best matchup within the 4 big bowl games before the CFP Semifinals with Big 12 Co-Champion Baylor & Michigan State. The co-Big 12 champions lead the nation in total offense and scoring offense, hanging up 45 points a game against everyone buy Texas, West Virginia and Kansas State. There aren’t a lot of mistakes – finishing sixth in the nation in turnover margin – and after last year’s Fiesta Bowl loss and with the playoff snub, Baylor should be ready, but Michigan State has no major win this season, but there 2 losses are to 2 of the teams in the CFP(Oregon & Ohio State)

Prediction: Baylor 40, Michigan State 35

                                                               College Football Playoff Semifinals

Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual @ Pasadena, CA 5pm ESPN: 2 Oregon Ducks vs. 3 Florida State Seminoles: Analysts- Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Heather Cox, Tom Rinaldi

What a way to start off a new era of deciding the College Football National Championship, The 2013 Heisman Jameis Winston & defending National Champion Florida State vs. 2014 Heisman Marcus Mariota & the Oregon Ducks in the Granddaddy of Bowl Games, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, while FSU won the National Title last season, the Seminoles has came back on teams left & right to stay undefeated, but that could come to a end mainly if they go down to this Oregon Ducks team.

Prediction: Oregon 34, FSU 29

Allstate Sugar Bowl @ New Orleans, LA 8:30pm ESPN: 1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes: Analysts- Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge, Holly Rowe

The Buckeyes are in New Orleans with a 3rd string QB vs. the Bama 2nd ranked run defense. Two great Coaches(Buckeyes Urban Meyer & Crimson Tide Nick Saban) will make this a close game, but at the end Alabama Offense will be too much for the Buckeyes I believe.

Prediction: Alabama 37, Ohio State 24

Other 6 Bowl Games to Watch

December 27(Saturday)

Hyundai Sun Bowl @ El Paso, TX 2pm CBS: Duke Blue Devils vs. 15 Arizona State Sun Devils: Analysts- Verne Lundquist or Carter Blackburn, Gary Danielson, Allie LaForce

Prediction: Arizona State 42, Duke 31

National University Holiday Bowl @ San Diego, CA 8pm ESPN: Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. 24 USC Trojans: Analysts- Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, Samantha Ponder

Prediction: Nebraska 20, USC 35

December 30(Tuesday)

Belk Bowl @ Charlotte, NC 6:30pm ESPN: 21 Louisville Cardinals vs. 13 Georgia Bulldogs: Analysts- Anish Shroff, Kelly Stouffer, Cara Capuano

Prediction: Georgia 24, Louisville 20

January 1(Thursday)

Outback Bowl @ Tampa, FL 12pm ESPN2: 19 Auburn Tigers vs. 18 Wisconsin Badgers: Analysts- Bob Wischusen, Matt Millen, Quint Kessenich

Prediction: Auburn 28, Wisconsin 17

Prediction: Missouri 36, Minnesota 30
