2015 CBB On Road to Madness- Sweet 16 Preview

Demarus Dye| BKD TV Insiders

.J. Hunter #22 of the Georgia State Panthers puts up a shot over Dee Davis #11 of the Xavier Musketeers in the first half during the third round of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on March 21, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Well I still have my Final Four Teams with Kentucky, Wisconsin, Louisville & Duke left, but Day 1 of the Round of 64 last week turned things upside down, as Baylor lost to Georgia State & UAB beat Iowa State, but we are in the Sweet 16 & we will break each Regional back down again as a reset.

Midwest Regionals in Cleveland(Elite 8 Game March 28)

Matchups(Time & Network) March 26(Thursday)

3 Notre Dame vs 7 Wichita State 7:15pm CBS: Analysts- Marv Albert, Chris Webber, Len Elmore, Lewis Johnson

  • Notre Dame had 2 very tough game in Pittsburgh to get to Cleveland with Northwestern & Butler, while Wichita State beat 2 of College Basketball tradition powers to get here as I predicted last week on BKD TV that the Shockers was a sleeper team in beating Indiana & neighbor Kansas. But now the Fighting Irish gets a Shocker team that can score in a lot of ways & if the Shockers get to a earlier lead can do some damage, but I see this being a tight game with the Irish pulling it out in the end of this one to advance to the Elite 8.

1 Kentucky vs 5 West Virginia 9:45pm CBS: Analysts- Marv Albert, Chris Webber, Len Elmore, Lewis Johnson

  • Kentucky went thru Hampton & Cincinnati without much of a challenge in the 2nd half of both games, while West Virginia pressed there way pass Buffalo & Maryland. The Mountaineers press could be trouble in the 1st 10 Minutes of the game for Kentucky, but the Mountaineers will see that the Wildcats are very deep & will be able to break the press. After that The Wildcats should control the game with the Mountaineers really not able to score unless they get turnovers.

West Regionals in Los Angeles(Elite 8 Game March 28)

Matchups(Time & Network) March 26(Thursday)
1 Wisconsin vs 4 North Carolina 7:47pm TBS: Analysts- Kevin Harlan, Dan Bonner, Reggie Miller, Rachel Nichols

  • The Badgers & Tar Heels will have a type of game that will be a contract of styles, the Badgers would want to slow the pace & play half court & the Tar Heels want to get up & down. But I think the difference for both teams will their stars, Badger Frank Kaminsky & Tar Heel Marcus Paige, which will play huge to help their team win. The Badgers are very discipline & don’t commit that many fouls, that will be the difference to me & maybe the best game in the Sweet 16.

2) Arizona vs 6) Xavier 10:17pm TBS: Analysts- Kevin Harlan, Dan Bonner, Reggie Miller, Rachel Nichols

  • The Wildcats are rolling beating Texas Southern & Ohio State both by double figures. While Xavier took out Ole Miss & upstart Georgia State. The Wildcats are so talented & can play many styles. Xavier only chance to me to hang with the Wildcats is to be hitting shots & I think they will not. I like the Wildcats by Double figures.

East Regionals in Syracuse, NY(Elite 8 Game March 29)

Matchups(Time & Network) March 27(Friday)
4) Louisville vs 8) NC State 7:37pm TBS: Analysts- Verne Lundquist, Jim Spanarkel, Allie LaForce

  • NC State has been Giant Killers this season with them beating Duke, Louisville, North Carolina & now Villanova in the Round of 32, while Louisville like I thought would be playing there best basketball in March. Is coaching going to be a difference in Syracuse as both teams are ACC teams playing in a ACC Arena. I like Louisville to avenge their loss to the Wolfpack earlier in the season.

3) Oklahoma vs 7) Michigan State 10:07pm TBS: Analysts- Verne Lundquist, Jim Spanarkel, Allie LaForce

  • Tom Izzo is at it again, as another March Run for Michigan State is upon us. The Spartans stopped the Cavaliers on Sunday, while the Dayton Flyers to me handed the Sooners the game as they got tired. I’m taking the Spartans one more time as the Sooners have to be able to handle the physical play of the Spartans. I like Michigan State in a close game.

South Regionals in Houston(Elite 8 Game March 29)

Matchups(Time & Network) March 27(Friday)
2) Gonzaga vs 11) UCLA 7:15 CBS: Analysts- Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery, Grant Hill, Tracy Wolfson

  • Gonzaga has bulldozed to the Sweet 16 as the only 2 seed left in the Tournament, they played UCLA in December & beat them down, but credit to the Bruins they have improved since then, but not enough to beat this Gonzaga team, the best since their run to the Elite 8 in 1999.

1) Duke vs 5) Utah 9:45pm CBS: Analysts- Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery, Grant Hill, Tracy Wolfson

  • Duke has been able to handle Robert Morris & San Diego State, but Utah can play, the Utes got pass Stephen F Austin & Georgetown. Jahlil Okafor for Duke will be the key as the Utes will try to throw bodies his way, the Utes might keep it close early but I like Duke to pull away in this game.

Who could get upset: Notre Dame

Which Sleeper that we had last Week(Wichita State or Michigan State) could make a run: Michigan State

We will be back next week to preview the Final Four in Indy & the Women’s Final Four in Tampa Bay.

  1. I noticed your site’s ranking in google’s search results
is very low. You are loosing a lot of traffic. You need hi Page Rank backlinks to rank in top
    10. I know – buying them is too expensive. It is
better to own them. I know how to do that, just google it:
