Jimbo Fisher looks to lead FSU to their fourth straight ACC Title.

Today we preview the ACC which the Florida State Seminoles having won each of the past three seasons. However, with Jameis Winston on to the NFL, Jimbo Fisher will have his work cut out for him with the likes of Clemson and Georgia Tech ready to pounce on the opportunity to win the conference.

Favorite: Florida State

Despite losing the best player in the ACC in Jameis Winston, Jimbo Fisher has established himself as one of the best coaches in America. Notre Dame transfer, Everett Golson will look to win the job and replace Jameis Winston at the quarterback position. After having excellent recruiting classes in recent years, Coach Fisher will look towards his young talent to step up and take him to another ACC title.

Team to Watch: Georgia Tech

The coastal division is once again wide open in the ACC and Georgia Tech looks to win it again behind returning quarterback Justin Thomas. The defense continues to grow and develop but the key will be how will Georgia Tech replace seven of their top ten rushers from the prior season. With the triple option, Georgia Tech should replace that lost yardage from the prior year and could be a threat to take the entire ACC crown.

Player to Watch: Dalvin Cook, FSU RB

Without Jameis Winston, Florida State is going to rely heavily on the running game and Dalvin Cook will lead that charge. They will also want to help keep their young defense off the field, at least at the beginning of the season. I look for Florida State to run the ball plenty this season and while Cook may not get all the carries, I expect him to be well over 1,000 yards and very productive.

Projected Finish:

  1. Clemson
  2. Florida State
  3. NC State

  5. Wake Forest
  6. Syracuse
