The Toronto Blue Jays are in 1st Place in the AL East over the Yankees by 1/2 game.

The Good#1: NL Central has the three best teams in the National League– Right now the best three teams in the National League are all in the NL Central, the St. Louis Cardinals are 87-50, Pittsburgh Pirates are 81-55 & Chicago Cubs are 79-57. The Cardinals are first in Pitching in the MLB, with the Pirates in second & Cubs in sixth. The only bad part of this is the two Wild Card winners will play each other in the First Round & the winner gets the top record in the NL, so the NL Central is by far the toughest division in baseball.

The Good#2Toronto Blue Jays continue to roll onto September- The Blue Jays went 21-6 in August & so in September the Jays are 4-2. The Blue Jays are trying to make the postseason for the 1st time since 1993 when they won their 2nd World Series back to back. The Blue Jays are 1st in the MLB in Hitting & in August the Jays pitching came on strong as the Jays was ranked 3rd in pitching. If the Jays continue at this pace, they will be heading to the Postseason for the First time since 1993.

The Bad: Baltimore Orioles falling out of contention– From August 19 to September 7, the Baltimore Orioles have only won three games & have fell completely out of the AL East & Wild Race. The Orioles ranked 19th in August in both Pitching & Hitting, but the O’s have been terrible on the road with a 27-45 record & is now tied for last place with the Boston Red Sox. The O’s this season are also 18-24 in one run games. Just bad for the defending AL East Champions

The UglyThe Atlanta Braves mega losing streak– Between August 16 & September 7, the Braves only won 3 games as the Braves was on a 12 game losing streak before yesterdays win over the Phillies. The Braves ranked last in baseball in August in Pitching, having over 6.00 ERA & 178 Runs given up. The Braves also ranked 29th in hitting in August, which they rank dead last overall throughout the season. Just plain ugly for the Braves.
