The New Day as WrestleMania 33 Hosts

With a record crowd of 75,245 to fill the Orlando Citrus Bowl, WrestleMania 33 was very deep & a tad longer than WrestleMania 32 in which the WWE Roster suffered Several Injuries to key people. A good show overall as you see the Ratings & Analysis of the over 7 hour event.

Pre-Show/Kickoff Matches

Neville (c) def Austin Aries retains title @ 15:40

After catching Aries off-guard with a gouge to his previously injured eye, Neville retains the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Rating: 8 of 10; Prediction- Wrong

Analysis– To me the best match of the whole show, as the King of the Cruiserweights, Neville heeled up as he was poking a Austin Aries eye injury that keep him out of action & 2 German Suplexes that dropped Aries on his head, by far at this moment these are the 2 best Cruiserweights in the Division & Aries will get the title I would say soon. Had to say this was only put on the Kickoff Show due to time & man folks missed a good match indeed.

Mojo Rawley won by last eliminating Jinder Mahal 33-man battle royal for the André the Giant Memorial Trophy  @ 14:07

Rawley celebrates his victory by posing alongside the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy.

Moment- Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski helped Mojo Rawley win as Jinder Mahal threw Gronk drink in his face as Gronkowski then hit the ring, hitting Mahal with a shoulder tackle & exiting the ring as Rawley wins the Battle Royal.

... and emphatically drops Mahal with a bone-shattering shoulder block.

Rating: 5 out of 10 ; Prediction- Half Right, picked as a Wild Card

Analysis– Pretty Much this was to set up for a moment with Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, I thought Braun Strowman was protected as it took the whole Battle Royal to elimate him, but the Battle Royal itself just didn’t do much for me in general & hopefully Rawley will get a bigger push on Smackdown Live(maybe for the Intercontinental Title)

Dean Ambrose (c) defeated Baron Corbin retains title @ 10:55

Dean Ambrose overcomes the challenge from Baron Corbin and retains the Intercontinental Championship.

Rating: 6 out of 10 ; Prediction- Wrong

Analysis– This was a ok match & deserved to be moved to the Kickoff Show. To me Ambrose with the Title doesn’t do much at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Corbin wins the title on Smackdown Live very soon(if he’s not moved to Raw). I think this would have been better if this match was a No-DQ Match to have more brawling as this program started with Corbin brawling with Ambrose.

Main Show Matches

AJ Styles defeated Shane McMahon @ 20:09

Following an incredible contest, AJ Styles emerges victorious.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10 ; Prediction- Right

Analysis– AJ Styles just shows again he is the best pro wrestler in the squared circle in the business today & Shane McMahon lived up to proving folks wrong the he was not a good opponent for Styles. Shane didn’t do too many jumps, but after referee was knocked out, Styles tried to attempt Coast to Coast & Shane hit him with the trash can, then Shane Hit Coast to Coast, Shane goes for a huge elbow drop through the table but AJ moves out of the way. Shane crashes through the table and AJ brings him back into the ring as the referee counts. Shane refused medical attention before AJ brought him in. AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but Shane turns it into a DDT. Shane drags AJ over to the corner and goes back to the top. Shane goes for a Shooting Star Press but AJ moves out of the way. Fans chant “holy s–t” now.

AJ crawls to the apron and waits for Shane to get up. AJ nails the Phenomenal Forearm and covers for the win.

Very good match indeed.

Rating: 7 out of 10 ; Prediction- Wrong

The Hardy Boyz (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (c), Cesaro and Sheamus and Enzo Amore and Big Cass to win Titles @ 11:05

The innovators of the tag team ladder match have returned to WWE and reclaimed their place at the top of the division.

Moment- When The New Day came out before this match as a Fatal 4 Way as most thought it was the New Day as they was in gear, but the Hardy Boyz music hit & it was the 1st appearance from the Boyz since 2009, as the 12th WM Ladder Match was in place.

The WWE Universe erupts as the legendary Hardy Boyz make a shocking return at WrestleMania.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10 ; Prediction- Wrong

John Cena and Nikki Bella defeated The Miz and Maryse Mixed tag team match with Al Roker as special guest ring announcer @ 9:40

Cena drops to one knee and proposes to Nikki!

Rating: 6 out of 10 ; Prediction- Right

Seth Rollins defeated Triple H (with Stephanie McMahon) @ 25:30

Moment- When Stephanie McMahon gets knocked into table that was sent up.

Triple H inadvertently collides with Stephanie, sending her crashing through a table.

Moment- After the match, The Undertaker took off his ring gear, leave them in the center of the ring & walked up the ramp after going 23-2 at Mania to retire from Professional Wresting

Rating: 6 out of 10 ; Prediction- Right
